Who Are We?
The Township of Ocean, Monmouth County, New Jersey is spilt into two fire districts. Fire district 1 is composed of the Oakhurst section of the Township as well as about two-thirds of the Wayside section. Fire district 2 is composed of the Wanamassa section of the towship as well as part of Wayside and West Allenhurst. Each district is governed by a Board of Fire Commissioners.
This web site serves the Fire Marshal's Office for Township of Ocean Fire District 1. The Fire Marshal's Office provides Fire Prevention, Public Fire Education, and Fire Investigation services. Fire prevention and Fire safety talks are available to the residents of the district. If you are interested in public education services, click here for additional information.
Our Offices are located in Oakhurst Fire Station 1 at 72 Larkin Place, Oakhurst. This is the Headquarters station for Township of Ocean Fire District 1. The building is located at the corner of Larkin and Beecroft Places, adjacent to Oakhust Firemen's Memorial Field. Our Office Hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
