Fire Marshal Timothy J. Smith
Tim has been with the Fire District for since 1977. He has been a firefighter for Oakhurst Independent Hose Co. No. 1, Twp. of Ocean Fire District 1 since 1969. He served as Chief of the Department in 1982. Tim is NJ State Certified as a Fire Official, FIre Inspector, and Fire Instructor Level II. The awards that Tim has received include:
- Monmouth County Fire Service Administrative Medal, October 1986
- Monmouth County Fire Prevention Inspector of the Year, October 1997
Deputy Fire Marshal Christopher Pujat
Chris started as a Fire Inspector in the district since 1991. He was promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal in 2005. He has been a firefighter in Howell Township Fire Company #1, Adelphia since 1989. Chris served as Township Chief in Howell in 2002 and as Chief of Howell Twp. Fire Company #1 in 2002 and 2003. He is currently serving as the company's Training Officer. Chris has also received his NJ State Certification as a Fire Offical, Fire Inspector, and Fire Instructor Level II. Some of the awards that Chris has received include:
- Monmouth County Fire Prevention and Protection Association - "Fire Prevention Inspector of the Year" - 2003
- New Jersey Fire Prevention & Protection Association - "John H. Flaherty Fire Prevention Inspector of the Year" - 2003
